1. Myth & Militant – Returning Champion
2. Myth & Trex – Ease Up

Lockdown Recordings are a Bristol based label who’ve been grafting to build a roster which stands up against those imprints who were established in the earlier days. Promoting the deeper side of the dance music spectrum, they’ve always adhered to the same paradigm; that’s to offer only forward-thinking, technical and rolling vibes for the heads.

Lockdown’s next release features Myth, an artist who first made himself known as a part of the Ill Truth project. Jay from the duo launched his solo project last year with his debut ‘Illusions EP’ and now following recent releases with CIA & Trust Audio, he now returns to the label with a new single. Both tracks on this release features collaborations with other artists and have already been receiving support from pivotal names such as Calyx & Teebee, Randall and also on Rene LaVice’s BBC Radio 1 show.

Title-track ‘Returning Champion’ produced with newcomer Militant, is a prime example of Myth’s raw, uncompromising and more jungle influenced sound. Aimed firmly at the club yet still carrying all of the precision he’s known for from Ill Truth. Intense rolling breaks, ragga vocals and dub sirens combine with heavyweight fizzing bass to make this tune an absolute weapon for the dance.

The second track ‘Ease Up’ sees Myth combine with Trex this time with predictably deadly results.
Lush keys and dub flavoured vocals samples set the tone for rolling jungle breaks and pounding 808 subs, this time with a deeper rolling vibe.

This new release further cements Myth’s place as one of the hottest talents right now in D&B, so it comes as no surprise that the tracks are already finding a place in the sets of the scene’s major players.
